If you are in search of help for assistance with a domestic animal, such as a stray dog or cat, we recommend calling your local County Animal Services provider for further assistance. Your local provider can assist you with these animals who may be lost family pets, as well as provide more information about vaccinations, licenses, pickup and removal services, etc.

However, if you’re looking for humane wildlife control solutions, you need to call a professional pest management company to best assist you with your problem.

Wildlife Removal and Trapping

As we previously stated, at IPM Services, we only believe in humane wildlife control and only use non-killing trapping methods. Our traps are set to catch your nuisance pest with the intent that no physical harm will be performed on the animal. Then, our trained professionals return the animal back into the wild and in their natural habitat. We release the animal at a safe distance from your property or facility to prevent their return.

In addition, we also can perform a full building or home inspection, as well as offer a referral for repair services if there has been damage from the animal. Birds and other wildlife love to sneak into walls and attics. They often chew wires, damage property, and leave droppings behind, all of which we can take care of for you.

The final step in our wildlife removal and trapping services includes a full inspection of the property and surrounding areas. If we believe that there may be a family of the wildlife you’ve been dealing with lurking nearby, we can provide recommendations and make referrals to professionals in that field for exclusion work, if need be.

Bird Control and Trapping

IPM Services also provides bird control, trapping, and removal for the residential and business communities of Louisville, Kentucky and Southern Indiana. We inspect your property or facility and advise how to best control the bird population. We have several methods of bird control and can customize solutions based on the needs of your home or business.

Bird Netting and Spikes:  Netting is often most effective when being used to prevent nesting in areas such as awnings and gutters. Bird spikes are stainless steel structures that are non-harmful and are placed on top of your building or home to make landing and nesting near impossible for birds.

Bird Strips: In extreme cases, we can implement bird strips as a control technique. These are low amperage devices that administer a very mild electrical jolt-like vibration, which repels birds and prevents them from landing. This bird control method is harmless to humans, birds, and other animals.

Trapping, Roosting, and Perching: Bird trapping techniques are used inside structures that birds are entering, commonly in locations like warehouses or attics. This method is used to vacate birds from inside the facility. In a case where birds are inside a structure, we can assist in closing up any holes where the birds may be getting in.

Roosting and perching deterrents include custom made, angled perch blockers to exclude birds from awnings and other nesting sites. Anti-roosting spikes, made of stainless steel or polycarbonate and electrified, are non-lethal, low profile track systems used to protect ledges.

Bird Nest Removal:  One of the best methods for discouraging bird activity is simply removing the nest. This is also necessary to prevent any problems associated with bird mites. In addition, crack, crevice, and spot applications of a residual germicide are administered to kill any mites and other parasites which may be present in or around the nest.

Costs of Wildlife Control

For many home or business owners in the Louisville area, wildlife control services are normally a one and done type of service. If you’re experiencing a wildlife animal issue, when you work with IPM Services, we take care of your wildlife control problem, from start to finish.

Your first payment of $75 covers setting and baiting your trap. This occurs on the following Monday after your first initial phone call to schedule service. On Wednesday of that same week, if the animal has not been captured yet, one of our technicians comes back to your home or business to check the trap. We will also re-bait the trap at this time, if necessary.

The end goal is to catch the wildlife critter by Friday of that same week. Once the animal has been captured safely in the trap, our team then comes to collect the trap and animal. At this time, you pay your second payment of $50, which covers the final step: removal of the animal from your property.

Normally, if the animal has not been captured within the first week of trap setting, it could be for many different reasons. If the animal has not been captured within the week, we assess the situation and look for any signs of activity. If we believe the animal has wandered back to wherever it came from, we will pull the trap. If not, we will work with you to determine your best option moving forward.

If no animal has been captured, for whatever reason, you are only responsible for paying the $75 setting fee.
